I recently purchased Call of Duty 4 for my PC. I installed the game, then received an error when I went to play it.

I don't know what to do and I really would like to play. Any help would be appreciated.

Looks like your video card isn't up to snuff. What card do you have?

I had the same issue with Bioshock and Medal of Honor Airborne, if your card doesn't support 3.0 shaders you won't be able to play the game.
There are ways around this but some of your textures and graphics won't show up at all or they will show only as solid yellow, red or green.
I saw all these games coming out this month, went out and got myself a mobo and graphics card, or I would have been a very unhappy gamer. ;)

Easy fix.
Go to the manufacturer's web site for your card and get the latest drivers.
Get a console, Xbox 360 or PS3, or you will be upgrading your PC every year or so. Thats why I abandoned PC gaming, except for RTS like Starcraft and Command and Conquer.

hubb- go to start>run> type in 'dxdiag' without the single quotes.
when that loads, look up at the top and go to the [display] tab and do another print screen like you did before.
BTW- the demo is awesome to cod on the pc! just 50 bucks isn't what i'm looking to be spending right now :o
