HEBRON, CT (NBC) -- It may have seemed like an emergency at the time, but a Connecticut man is now regretting his call to 911.

35-year-old Brian Poulin of Hebron was arrested Sunday after police said he called 911 several times and asked them to bring him beer.

Hebron was charged with disorderly conduct.

Police said he called 911 numerous times and told the dispatcher he was out of beer and asked them to pick up more for him.

Poulin was transported to Windham Community Memorial Hospital after officers arrested him at his home.

Police did not say what he was treated for.

He is scheduled to appear in Superior Court in Rockville on Nov. 20.

We have Crazy Karen who rings Comms all the time (but not on '000' - our version of 911 - luckily)

The other day she rang about five times and kept telling me to pass on scripture quotes to other members.

In the end I told her to go and read Romans 13:1 and get back to me.

When she called back I told her if she agreed that it meant that Police are the workers of God and she agreed. I told her then, "Well, for God's sake stop ringing us.";)

Problem solved.

Reminds me of a guy that kept calling us one night, on 911, saying he was hungry and to come pick him up. He kept calling back saying he was waiting.

Geeze, the job is to Protect and Serve. I'm sure that includes beers too!

Come on, if you're out of beer but too drunk to drive to the store to get more.....what could be a bigger emergency than that? This is a clear case of police harassment!:p:D:p

Running out of beer is not a laughing matter. I don't think we can really hold this against him. :D
