MIDDLETOWN -- Middletown police say a teen and his father who hadn't seen each other in years did some bonding over a burglary attempt.
Officers said they chased down and arrested Charles Neal after he was seen taking windows and a copper pipe from a Manchester Avenue home over the weekend.
Police said they also found a 14-year-old boy on a porch, knocking on the door and asking for Neal.
During questioning, the teen said his mother had dropped him off to visit with Neal for the first time in four years. While taking a walk, the teen said, Neal told him to stay outside while he burglarized a home.
The teen admitted changing his shirt to help throw off the investigation.
Neal is charged with burglary. His son is charged with complicity to burglary.
