I am almost done in the hiring process for CDCR and was wondering if any one here ever worked in Crescent city Ca Pelican bay or up in susanville Ca? Just want to know how is it out there to live the housing the people, the schools and etc? And the prisons? what is your view?

I have not worked at either, but do know people that have. They all say that they liked the area. Remember that they are both in very rural areas. The closest city to Susanville is Reno. The odds of being offered HDSP are very high right now. The dept is only hiring for the prisons with the most need and HDSP is one of them. I don't think you could get PBSP.
Go to www.pacovilla.com and check out the message board. There are sections for the individual pens and you could get more info there.

In the process to become an correctional officer. Will I be disquified on my background check . Im in the process of haveing an calif. and an FBI record exsponged from my record. I was charged with am mistermeter 15 years ago for haveing fire crackers the called it exsplosive can I answer no to this
