I've ben waiting for this for years! His music is okay, but his take on horror amazes me. I love his original horror films. In the interviews I've seen with him, he comes across as a true fan. Who better to remake a horror movie than someone who absolutely loves the genre? You know he'll do a good job rather than someone looking to do a remake in hopes of making an easy buck.

Saw it today and it's GOOD. It goes into a full explanation of how the little boy Michael Myers becomes a psychopath, which was very interesting. Just be warned, this one is a lot more violent than the original. To me, the original was more creepy, but this was still a very good rendition and update. Don't expect the story to follow the original either.

Watched it. First hour or so was pretty good.. Then came the Rob zombie touch and kinda tuned me out a bit.
Overall it was a decent remake. I give it a rental suggestion..
