Blunt song 'most irritating'
James Blunt's hit You're Beautiful has been voted the most irritating song of all time in a web poll.


The single had a five-week run in Britain and it was number one in 11 other countries when it was released in 2005.

It shot the ex-military man to worldwide stardom across the globe, bagging him a Grammy nomination and a Brit Award.

Crazy Frog by Axel came second in the poll, followed by Mmp Bop - a hit for brotherly rock group Hanson in 1997.

John Sewell, of market researchers onepoll.com, said: "James Blunt isn't the obvious choice, but any song that is at number one for so long does start to get annoying."

The most recent song in the poll was Grace Kelly by Mika, while the oldest was Lulu's 1994 smash Shout.

I'd have to agree with you, Kirynn, about the "Achy Breaky Heart", except that back in 1974 there was one called "You're Having My Baby" that really used to piss me off.

I do gotta admit that when I saw the title of this thread, the first song that popped into my head was Achy Breaky Heart.

I also can't stand that new-ish song that says something about

"My girlfriend's in the next room, some times I wish she was you..."

I can't remember the name of the song or the band. Some soft rock wannabe wanker who needs a size 10 in the side of the head.

I hate that song. If your girlfriend is so bad, then leave her. And if some skank is going to ring you knowing you have your girlfriend there and put up with that then you deserve her and the diseases I hope you catch from her.

Thats "Lips of an Angel" by Hinder. That song sucks, but they do have some good stuff.

Anyway, I think my most annoying song would have to be "Rollin" by Limp Bizkit. Aside from the lyrics sucking horribly, Fred Durst just annoys the piss out of me. He rhymes "here" with "here" for gods sake! "24/7 never beggin for a rain check" WTF! Not to mention that chorus sounds like the Hokey Pokey:

Yea, that's Photograph by Nickelback. I can't stand that song either, good cd but I hate that song. What made it even worse was shortly after it came out (I think it was) T-moble picked it up and started using it as part of their advertising for one of the new phones.

Some other (new) ones that I love to hate are Lip Gloss by Lil Mama and This is Why I'm Hot by MIMS.

The whole song is pretty much "This is Why I'm Hot" repeating until the end of eternity. Quite a lot of musical talent, huh. :rolleyes:
