That doesn't really look like a muscle car, but more like a fast sports car. They should have put a slim LED bar on the top and LED lights in the front and back.

What I think is weird about these Australian police cars is instead of installing the front strobes in the grille, they add on a metal dowel. And in that pic you can see the wires. I don't like that style. My department has 01-06 Impalas, and I wish they would get new cars. But, they are slowly phasing out the Code 3 rotating lightbars for LED bars. It's funny, I've seen more Engineering Department cars with LED bars than police cars with them.

That is a New South Wales Highway Patrol car, a state north of me. We have the same here with new a LED/Strobe mix lightbar which is about the same size. The reason they are sticking with them is to have the VMD on the back to display messages and arrows etc rather than just a straight arrow stick.

Doesn't really worry me to be honest, it still doesn't make people get out of your way in a hurry.

This is the new Victorian version

I do like the fact that it seems like a lot of the Aussie units are sports cars painted with a cool design.

In my city, they drive Chevy Impalas with a very basic design on them.

The 1st response units have the thin light bar. This is the 6 cyl version of the SS Commodore.

I thought that building looked familiar!

We still have 2 x VZ's and one of last years smart cars, the yellow peril, but love it.

We've got 3 x VZ's left includiing 2 x yellow ones with 25,000 & 26,000 on the clock. They are going this year so they will be a good pick up at the auction. GEI recently got their Q replaced with a VZ so they've got it for 2 years, shame that!! *LOL*

That's the Inspector's car I see.

We don't have any VE's at our office yet. :(

Well anyways, I'm in love with the Aussie cop cars. Every picture I have seen has looked like more of a sports car than a Chevrolet Impala. Though, many of them do resemble an Impala, or a Ford Mustang.

Though, I dislike that the front strobes, are always, on a little chrome bar on the front. I like the hidden grille lights.

Now that is a good looking car!

That seems like such a car that is just used for parades and stuff. Too expensive for normal stuff, I think.
