I just took the CBPO test and thin I did fairly well. I had a couple questions about the VBT. The booklet says the applicant will be doing some exercises, and they will be video taped to be shown to management. In the FAQ area they gave no advice on what to wear or what types of video things the applicant will be doing. I DON'T WANT ANYBODY TO REVEAL ANYTHING FROM THE TEST. Is this a physical exercise or is it mostly verbal. My concern is what to wear. Would a suit not be conducive to completing the tasks? Would slacks and a tie be suitable? Dockers and a Polo? What to wear? I was thinking my hot pink suit with the lime green tie. If it too physical for that, then I was going to do the slacks and a tie.

"Video-Based Test (VBT): An oral video-based test (VBT) will be administered to all individuals who are determined to be basically qualified. The test takes about one-half hour and is evaluated by a team of CBP management officials. When you are administered the VBT, you will be filmed while responding to a set of videotaped scenarios. This film will later be viewed and evaluated. The test is rated on a pass/fail basis. Therefore, you will need to receive a pass rating to continue through the process. You will be notified of the date, time and location for your Video Based Test within 4-6 weeks after you submit your application."
Dress business casual, but be able to move about freely and comfortably. This is not the pre-physical.

Thanks for clarifying, it would have very embarrassing to show up wearing the suit.:D
