I've noticed that this section has been unofficially devoted to car-model enthusiasts. Since I love police cars, not directly the reason I want to be a cop, but maybe a little bit, I think getting some models would be cool.
Do they run pretty expensive? Can I get some tips on them?
Since I'm 14 (meaning I can't legally work), and my main salary is mowing my own lawn (and it's winter), I'm pretty low on money.
But... if my mom can't find a Nintendo Wii, maybe I could ask for some model cars for X-Mas?
Hi.....it depends on what kind of police models you are looking at. For example, an AutoArt 1;18 scale diecast police replica could be pretty expensive, say around $90.00. This may vary depending on where you live. A Motormax version of the same car may cost about $45.00. Ebay has alot of police models for pretty cheap, of course you have to pay shipping to get them.

What about policecarmodels.com? I was browsing that site and it has 1/18 cars that are 25 dollars, and smaller ones that are even 6 dollars. Has anyone bought from that site before?
I probably will end up not getting any, unless there is a store that sells them. I think Hobby Lobby might have some; they're probably crap.
Policecarmodels is a great website. You won't have issues with their service. However, you get what you pay for also. Buy a $6 police car, and it'll be a small scale, and not very detailed.
The $25 Motormax cars are actually quite nice.

I've been doing 1/24s-1/25s for a while now, and all I can recommend to you is that you take your time with the hobby and pay attention to what you buy. I've dealt with policecarmodels.com on numerous occasions and their service is top-notch, I highly recommend doing business with them.
