I would like to get a clan going. Well not really even that needed. But where we get together on our OWN server and get on Teamspeak and play and talk and bs and such. It would be fun. If we can donate some $ to keep the server up and running. I have a few people from my old clan that will join us. Make it a small little clan thats about it. Nothing big.

If you would like to let me know. If we get enough people I will help get this started.

How about a Gears of War clan? Picking it up Saturday, and so far all reviews show it to be the killer app for the 360, along with a strong nominee for game of the year.

We will have admins. Most if not all of us will have admin as long as you do not go power hungry. The servers WILL be ranked so be extra careful what you will do. We will run BF2CC and INGAME admins. Only a couple will have CC access the rest can have in game. I will add more to that but you use !w username tk for warning on tk, or !k username for kick !b username for bans etc and so on. If you know anyone that can play then please let me know who they are. If you do not have a mic please get one. They are pretty cheap. Not a requirement but would be nice. Only requirement is to use TEAMSPEAK when you are playing. At least be on yah know?


I have a ATI Radeon X850 Pro AGP 8X 256mb. If you are having problems with your graphics card let me know. Its a decent card. You got the ram then its a great card. So let me know. Don't want to hold anyone back. Unless your one of them PCI fellows =)

No problem, I just didn't want the effort to stangnate (not sure if that's actually a word but it is now) and end up going no where. When you get up and ready for donations give us an idea of what it would cost per person (based on who already offered money) to get up and running and per month. Then as people join we can spread out the monthly cost amoungst everyone.

For instance, I don't understand how a teamspeak server is used at the same time as the game server, but maybe when I have the chance to get back on I'll figure it out.

No problem on being busy. We are all busy here too. Take your time and we will still be here. You are still more then welcome to play there with us as a member. Remember this, Family first, work second, and gaming last. Just don't go crazy :P

Instead of using the IP to search, go to server name and type in =WPF=


Teamspeak: 208.110.71.249:8846
Password: realpolice

Click on quick connect. Enter the IP and your nickname will be =WPF= yourbattlefield2name. Notice the space between "=" and where your name begins. Now enter the password of "realpolice". Click connect. If one of us are in there we will register you and possibly give you admin for TS. You will create your nickname as the same as your in game login name. You will also give one of us the password (we could care less what your password is). After that we will get you all settled in and your all set. Once we get the information and set it up this is what you need to do:
Click on connect. You will then see under the Local Addressbook tab, it says Servers. Branch it down and right click it. Click on Add Server. Give it whatever name you wish to. The Server Address is 208.110.71.249:8846. Your nickname will be =WPF= yourbattlefield2name. Click on the registered button. Your login name will be the same as your nickname. Your User Password will be the same as what you told one of us. Click Connect and your all set. Don't forget your password though!

I have disabled the language filter other then a few racial words, but keep it clean(er). Also Friendly Fire is OFF. So no killing teammates. Although we will probably turn it back on.

With regards to being on Teamspeak. Be on as much as possible. If you are playing even though we DO have VOIP, be on it. We will not enforce it if your not on like other servers but it keeps our TS free.

Admins will be settled with the ranking system. Current Rankins are as follow. We will change ranks possibly soon to test the flow with everything.

When you are logging into battlefield 2, there is a text box on the top of the box, with the word prefix beside it - enter =WPF= in that.

I should be able to play more now. Hopefully anyway. I play around 10-1300 area... I'll try tomorrow.

Oh, and I go on vacation starting this Friday... My wife works Fri and Sat then she'll be off with me next week so I won't probably have a lot of time next week BUT.... It's a hefty patch. Set it up before you go to bed, that's what I do.

Teamspeak has been down for the past week or so. Crow is currently working on the issue and may need to find another Teamspeak server to run. We will keep everyone in touch with this. We have VOIP on the server.

So is their other leader guy. 90% of BF2 servers fail within the first month. 90% of them cannot keep their server populated. We have kept ours populated at playing levels for nearly a month now! They said they are proud that we are the 10% and proud that we are going so well.

Well guys I have good news and bad news



Bad news- Our server using the IP we have now will no longer be running. The HEAD server company decided they aren't making enough $ and decided to wait till 3am last night to tell me and the guy I use as my contact.


Good news- I am talking with "Knight Rider" and said he is going to get us a BETTER server 32 slots, with VOIP, Battlerecorder everything enabled, for the same $75.00 a month and paypal fees will be picked up by me too. It is 100$ server but we get 25% off for some reason (Knight Rider is trying to get the 25% off it is not offical but chances are i'll make him eat it if he tries to pull a fast one. If this doesn't work I have backup servers to go to. Again do not worry)

I found the BF2 booster packs collection (Armored Fury & Euro Force) for sale at Walmart tonight for $20, so I picked it up. Don't know if it will help my online game load any quicker or not, but may add some pieces, parts and maps I didn't otherwise have.

Games won't start without a minimum of participants, so you can't spike your stats.

BTW, just earned my first stripe last night... God only knows why... celebrating my 1G respawn? :D

Spend some more money on a gaming laser mouse. I have an optical one and have no problems. I have two buttons on the side which allows me to switch seats in any vehicle espically helicopter and fire and then go back with an easy switch. Its awesome :)

Makes no matter, I can't seem to find the site on a search. The only way I can find it is by entering the ip.

Some of those games get pretty one sided pretty fast... was on this morning and had 6 on 3, and the six had no problem with their sportsmanship values. I guess when the 3 of us jumped out of the game they got to have it to themselves.

Can someone explain in easy to understand terminology how Teamspaek works in conjunction with online BF2 sites, please?

I spent 20 minutes of precious online gaming time trying to figure out how to connect it... found myself kicked or otherwise diconnected from a few sites because I was fiddling while flags fell and I didn't move. :confused:

Teamspeak is an entirely seperate program from BF2. It is possible to run BF2 without Teamspeak, and it is possible to run Teamspeak without running BF2.

I recommend starting Teamspeak first. There will be an option under "connection" to connect to a server. That is the Teamspeak server. A Teamspeak (TS) server is not the same as a BF2 server. You can, for example, connect to our TS server and play in other BF2 servers. Also, you can only talk via TS to other people logged into TS. There may be people logged into TS that are not in-game, and not all the people in game are going to be on TS. So, don't be concerned if there are 30 people in game and nobody's talking. It's just because they're not on the TS server you're on.

Fill in our TS server info (available on our website), and hit connect. At some point, Hockey (Deathtrap in game) will have to hook you up with all the registering and all. But, either way, it should work without you being registered. Once you're in the TS server, you can set either "push to talk" or "voice activated." I recommend PTT, as it keeps you from transmitting your expletives or heavy breathing. :D

Then, once you're in game, you either push that button, or speak normally, depending on your option, to transmit. Unlike the in-game comms, the TS communication is entirely circumventing BF2. However, when you're in game, if you have a push-to-talk key that does something in BF2, it will both transmit on TS, AND it will perform that function in BF2. So, don't use "E" as your PTT, or you'll be getting in and out of vehicles when you're trying to talk.

I'm sure Hockey will be along soon to help you out with exactly how to config it, but hopefully this will help you get up and running in the mean time?

Since I've been recovering from surgery at my parents place, I haven't been able to play since their computer won't handle the game.

But, when I get back I usually play on the rubber ducky server. :D
