I had a psych exam for a lawenforcement agency, After the interview i got a letter that said my police officer application will not be processed until i bring some psych records to the psychologist that was conducting my police psych evaluation. The letter said that if i did not bring the records within a certain time my process to my application would be discontinued. My school found the records a long time after they were due in the shrinks office. Can this have an affect on another psych exam, When another psychologist contacts that agency on why i was DQ, are they looking for the report created by the psychologist or are they also looking over the 1000 questions i answered on that departments exam. As i mentioned my application was discontinued because the records i had to bring could not be found by my school in time.

I suspect that if you can properly explain the facts of the situation it would not be used against you. It would appear that you didn't fail the Psych test , you failed to supply the documentation they needed to complete the background investigation.

Perhaps you can get a letter from the school explaining to any prospective employers that they were unable to locate the requested info due to .....( insert excuse here) which was no fault of yours.

i never imagined that i would get a DQ for that, I called their phone number for an extention and no one even answered the phone until the last day. the person told me the psychologist would call me back, She never did. Im guessing she did not even process my psychological exam. Does anyone else think this issue can pose a problem for me on anotther psych exam.
