I really don't know much about what they do other than constantly calling out on the air to show them out at such-and-such location, and 5 minutes later they clear.
They serve orders of protection for our citizens that need it, and basically they annoy the dispatchers :) . That's all I know for sure.

A friend of mine just did this, she's now bored out of her mind. But she got what she wanted, Mon - Fri, weekends and holidays off.

Pardon me but i never heard of a civil deputy. We have Deputy Sheriff's that serve protection orders but they are LEO's.
