I am signed up to take the upcoming police exam for the City of Chicago in early August. I just purchased a study guide specific for Chicago Police and was suprised to find out it the exam is not like the common (NYPD) exam at all. It claims that the test consists of a three parts.1 the first bieng a synonym/antonym selection section,2 the second bieng a timed 100 question/9 minute - letter/number matching exercise,3 and the third section consisted of personal question where the applicant is asked to answer a series of 185 questions based on his/her own personal beliefs.
Has anyone taken the test recently or have knowledge to confirm or correct this information?
Also, the book does not include a polygraph as part of the City of Chicago Police hiring process. I was not aware of this, is it true?
I would like to get some information A.S.A.P so I can begin to properly preapre for this exam. Thanks.
