Brazilian Jiujitsu and Muay Thai. I've been doing it for years and I love it.
This is where I train.

I practice defensive tactics, take downs, and custody techniques with other Officers on a pretty regular basis.
I've practiced Martial Arts in the past and it's a fun and competitive gig to get into, but it's just a different game on the street. If someone squares off on me, it's about getting that person under control within department policy, not playing Steven Segal.

A lot of the guys I train with are law enforcement officers.
Pedro works extensively with military groups in Virginia, including the Marines and various groups from the Navy SEAL teams (including the snipers). He has also trained FBI and CIA agents in Texas. SWAT teams in Colorado and Utah. Also in Utah, Pedro has trained the police in Provo, Orem, DARE officers, the Sheriffs department in Salt Lake City, POST (Police Officer's Standard Training) in SLC, and also the Orem Fire Department.
Pedro is a total badass (http://www.pedrosauer.com/pedrosauer/staff/staff.html)

And what does the fact that you train with Law Enforcement Officers mean to me?
By the way ^^^^, are you SPAMMING a link?

So it's only spam if it's posted a second time?
Word of advice, don't get snippy with veteran members here, especially a respected LEO or you'll not like here anymore.

You know what is going on here, boy. You come parading yourself like you're something, just because you happen to be a student of martial arts, which must mean that you're cut out to be a Police Officer, by default.
You go from posting about being a MINORITY, like it's something important, to questioning educational experience, to boasting about your martial arts background. You have TROLL written all over you. Sorry, I can see it.
The sad thing is that the non-Verifieds are throwing rep at you like you're something.

So, it is now illegal to post about martial arts in a "Defensive Tactics" section? Hey, let's talk about computer hardwares in the "Defensive Tactics" section.

WTF??!! when did I ever say that? ASSumption much?
As for my educational experience, what's there to "boast" about my education background when I don't even have my associate degree?
btw, I already told you not to send me anymore Private Messages. No means no. WHy don't you go bother someone else?

I want to know how many minority police officers/cadets like me are out there. Is that a crime too?
Seriously, wtf is your problem? Get off your high horse.

Not all of us.;)
Geek,
None of us here know you. You come here boasting about how good you are at this and how easy that is etc... What if someone you didn't know came to your house and did this? Would it aggravate you? Sure it would. Save it for later, when people here get to know you. We have no idea about your link. We have to assume it's spam regardless of what you say. Down the road, if you stay here, it probably wouldn't be a problem.
The minority thing here won't fly, for the most part. When I apply somewhere and a Asian or Black or whatever gets the job that I don't(I'm white BTW) and they're the better candidate I agree with the department. I want the best person hired, regardless of race or gender.
We like to call people and be called Americans, that's it. Does it bother me when someone calls themselves ______-American? Nope, couldn't care less but do I do it? Nope. Just my .02.

Last time I checked this is an internet forum, not an employment center where I turned in my application to become a police officer.

I'm Vietnamese, born here, but my parents were pretty much FOBs (I guess FOA would be more accurate, who the hell shows up here on boats?) when they came here. As such, they still speak Vietnamese around the house, and my mom only cooks Vietnamese dishes. I've been to the Vietnam almost a dozen times. So I think it's safe to say I'm entitled to be proud with my heritage.
I made a thread to ask how many minority police officers/cadets like me are out there and this is your own interpretation "oh no, he must be asking for something!"
Hmmmm . . . the thread seems to have gotten off track. Should we close it or try to get it back on track?:p
Personally, I practice ching chang pow (hold your hand like a pistol and then sound out the words). Unfortunately some nagging injuries have forced me to temporarily give up my other training.

Ok, pal. I tried to be nice but if you want it the other way so be it. I said nothing about not being proud of your heritage, I said I don't care to hear about it every time you post. If you were born here then you are NOT Vietnamese, you're an American. That is unless you renounce your citizenship. You stated that you would be the first minority of Asian descent to work at a particular department with a  behind it. What does that tell me? Give it a rest.
From the looks of you glowing red rep meter I'd say I'm not alone.

Couple thoughts:
I practice who flung dung. They scare me enough I just reach around and throw it at them.
And, while it is admirable you are proud of your heritage, should you ever need a Top Secret clearance, you might think about the one thing they refer to as foreign influence.

I already have my Top Secret clearance in the Military Intelligence ;). And yes, the Big Brother knows I'm very active in the Vietnamese community.
