After reviewing several threads it seems as though the majority of officers on the board use the Uncle Mikes vest holster.
Do you use the belly band with the holster or only the holster attached to the body armor?
Does the holster come with a strap/retetion device to keep the gun in the holster? I'm a little worried about the gun coming lose during a chase or fight.
This is what some kind-hearted thug "donated" to my department and then in turn issued me:

Down the road I would like to carry a G-27 to complement my duty G-22 and use the .38 elsewhere when on duty.
