Does any one know the requirements needed for the state of Geaorgia? I should get started now, but I am not sure what to aim for. Thanks for the help.

Sorry I was looking at the link for the Illinois state fitness requirements for sit ups, bench, running and sit and reach and it was ok. However, I was curious about what the requirements were for the state of Georgia, which is were I'm from. Sorry I did not clarify myself at all at first. Thanks again.

So you mean The Georgia State Patrol or what? The actual 'GA POST/State' phys ed requirements in a normal state sponsered academy? Other specific agencies. What are you looking for I can help.

I am looking for the requirements for the Police Academy here in Georgia. More to the point the one in Forsyth, at the GPSTC.

Officially in state ran academies there is no phys ed 'requirement'. Your department might set standards and your individual academy could do unofficial training.
