Which college are you attending/attended and how do you like it?

I'm here at the University of Cincinnati. I like it OK, it's in a pretty rough part of town, but the campus is nice and the Professors are compassionate about their work.

I've heard that the best was Sam Houston State here in Texas. Wonder how they do the ranking? Anyway I have a Bachelors of Applied Arts and Science degree with a Criminology emphsis from Texas A&M University - Kingsville.

Basicly I had to take the same number of hours in criminology as the crim majors I just didn't have to take a minor they gave it to me for my academies and military time.

Currently working on a masters in sociology with a criminology emphsis but it should be a masters in criminology because all my classes are criminology classes they just don't have an auctal Masters in criminology. They say they're working on it.

I got my BA from Sam Houston, thought it wasn't in Criminal Justice. As I understand it, they have a very good graduate program. When I was in Grad School, I studied under a professor who had gotten his PhD there in the 70s.

I have no idea how they do school rankings, since every school is the best at something, or so it seems.

I went to Bluefiled College in Bluefield VA. They have a CRJ program tailored to working adults. It is quite intensive, but worth it.

Entering with 54 credits or more, you can obtain you bachelor's in 13 months. It is three back-to-back semesters with 4 classes per semester. It is a lot of work and a lot of independant study, because you only meet once per week. I found it challenging and I am very happy it's over

Eastern Kentucky University. There is a SUPERB College of justice & safety here with majors in Criminal Justice, Corrections, Police Studies, Loss Prevention, and a few others. The college of justice & safety is attached to the KY State Department of Criminal Justice Training (DOCJTC) Most police officers in KY are trained at the academy here (save for a few metro police departments and State police, which will soon be training at teh DOCJTC as the facilities expand.) Classes are taught mostly by instructors from the DOCJTC, so you learn alot of real life stuff, not just the silly theory that most universities teach.

I'm attending a community school here in TN. I like the campus and it's quite nice. There are some things you can do like sports and clubs. Someone in my classes last term started a criminal justice club and sadly we only met once but it was nice. I have the same professor for all my criminal justice classes and I like his teaching ways and all that. I've enjoyed the students as well and getting to know people. One thing I like is we travel a lot in the same groups and some classes are small. My largest c.j. class so far has been my Crime & Media class and it was like maybe fifteen or so people?
