Hey, some of the people at my post suggested that I get a Sam Brown duty belt instead of the one that came with my uniform. So I was wondering if you guys know of any good / cheap / reliable places to get them online?

Would that be one with a cross strap on it? The one that the bad guys seem to instinctively know to grab for and throw you about the place with?

No, this is just the regular around the waiste belt and nothing else. Also, what else do I need for this type of belt... I know I need belt keepers and such, but like how many am I suppose to have? And I know I need a radio / gloves / and flashlight pouch.... but is there anything else that goes to the actual belt? I still dont quite understand how these types of belts work since they dont use the loops in the waist line of yours pants.

I was thinking of using http://www.chiefsupply.com/ for my ordering since they did a good job when I ordered my 5-11 pants and my advisor recommends them. Not sure if anyone knows a better place though.

These are questions best addressed to your advisors.

Yah thats true, but I wont be seeing him again until the 15th of January.. so I just want to get a good idea of what I'm looking at in terms of price and such. Seeing as Christmas is right around the bend I might be able to sneak it in as a last minute gift request ;)

The duty belt is either nylon or leather. It goes outside of your pants belt. The belt keepers (I use four) keeps it from riding up or down in relation to your pants belt by holding it to your pants belt. They loop around both belts.

Do you know what equipment you're carrying? If you do, get the appropriate pouches. I'd say a flashlight, radio and glove pouch would do you fine.

Go to Galls or similar and have a look at the prices (I can only give you UK prices).
