A semi-truck driver, hauling 13,300 gallons of gasoline, said he was shot at while driving in Detroit Thursday night at 1 a.m.
The Michigan State Police are investigating the incident that appears to be a case of road rage.
The truck driver said he was traveling at Interstate 94 and Outer Drive when the driver of an SUV fired a gun at him, he told police.
Police said the man was able to obtain the car's license plate number and called 911 with the information.
The driver of the SUV was located by state police. During an interview with police, he admitted firing a shot from his driver's side window. The suspected shooter, who does hold a concealed weapons permit, said he felt his life had been put in danger by how the man in the semi-truck was driving.
Michigan State Police say the suspect "failed to realize, not only was there a severe weather advisory in effect with horrible road conditions, but that the truck driver was hauling gasoline," according to a statement by police.
The gun was seized and a warrant is being sought for felonious assault charges against the suspect driver.

Last night, we answered a drive up (to the station) regarding some juveniles @ a McDonald's flashing and pointing what appeared to be (to them) a real gun at people, but turned out to be an airsoft pistol in the shape of a Glock (kid had removed the orange tip). Claimed they were shooting @ icicles, but "could" have errantly pointed it at a car (errant my a$$).
After all was said and done, the 18 year old probably STILL doesn't realize that WHEN our prosecutor authorizes charges against him, he's going to be charged with the same FA offense as the guy in this story who had a REAL gun and SHOT at someone driving a tanker full of gasoline. Maybe the kid will realize the severity of his actions AFTER he's charged ...
Side note: The idiot in the gas tanker story WAS a CPL holder. More ammo for the liberals ...
