I am just looking for your input on this particular end cap for the asp baton. It is not very popular in my area. If anyone has one of these what are some of the uses you like or dislike about it. Any ino or input is welcome.

thanks

I have an end cap for my ASP which tapers outwards slightly. I think its excellent because it gives you a better grip i've also got my badge number on the end so no one can pilther it easily.

Its similar to this one (http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/NEW-Design-ASP-GALLS-END-CAP-Police-Baton-Retention_W0QQitemZ7568807201QQcategoryZ53294QQrdZ 1QQcmdZViewItem) in fact I think this is where I got it from.

This end cap is great for looking into pockets without having to stick your hand in or tearing apart the other persons clothing to make sure it is a pen and not a open needle. On a regular basis I deal with IV drug users and this end cap has been a great help. I have seen other officers nearly stuck with uncapped needles partialy due to carelessness on the officers part. They ask the bad guy if they have anything sharp or anything that will poke them and really expect them to be 100% truthfull.
