The genre is also characterized by lyrical references to horror films, violence, exploitation films, lurid sexuality and other topics generally considered taboo,

That's classy. Does mommy know you are a sick psycho? I'm sure she's proud of her baby sicko freak. What's next? Homemade snuff films? Go kick a pitt bull or something.

Look, Amigo, anybody with sense understands that music influences people. Mood, thoughts, behavior - if music didn't influnce these things, what would be the point? So roll your punkass eyes all you want, 'cause we're rollin' ours right back at ya'.

And why the HELL are you even asking an inane question about music? You think most law-enforcement types are "Psycho-BILLY" fans? Or that any of us here care that you are?

On another thread you say you're looking into a career in Law Enforcement, then you say you got written up a couple of times for slacking around. Yeah, we all want our cops to be slackers. Especially ex PetCo/Kinko's slackers that play upright bass in a Psycho-BILLY garage band.

Way to impress us all with your bitchin' maturity and mad reasoning skillz there, Cupcake. Have a birthday or two, then come back and see us.

I can't believe I took the bait... but I feel better now.

Yep, needs a few more birthdays... ;) I can't believe kids anymore. My grandpa was a retired Air Force Ssgt, and I was brought up right, on his wisdom. Now I'm in college, ( criminal justice!) recieved my GED in the summer, I work for the state park, and never have had a run in with the PD... My county sheriff is like a father to me. I am not quite 18 yet. Whatever happened to good young people?

Jazz, blues, 70s and 80s rock ... just about anything but country.

Unfortuantely - most the radio stations around here haven't adopted the psychobilly stuff yet. Maybe it will catch on with the death-metal country :D

Dude, are you out of your mind??? Country music ROCKS! If you're into 80's rock, let me suggest a few country songs you might like:

"Chrome", by Trace Adkins
"Stays in Mexico" by Toby Keith
"Chicks Dig it" by Chris Cagle
"And the Crowd Goes Wild" by Mark Wills

These songs really thump, and I can't help crankin' the radio when they come on! Sombody else suggest some more and help me help this poor deprived soul that doesn't know what he's missed! :D
