I noticed the past week that the wheels I took off the Welly Suburban looked pretty close to what the P71 steel wheels looked like. After painting the wheels black and leaving the cap chrome, I transplanted them to the Crown Vic. Although not entirely accurate, I think they look better than the smooth caps that the Autoart and Motormax cars come with.

How much for a couple sets of wheels and a couple of Go Rhino bars?! LOL

One question, what is my best bet as a model to start from? Seeing as how I am going to have to strip all the paint, fill the holes, drill new ones and notch the pillars for the spots. Is MotorMax on par as far as detail and quality with the AutoArts?

I'm at the mercy of the guys at work to get me more Rhino bars. I have the mold but they make them for me. I'm getting the wheels molded too so I'll have to see how they come out.

The MM CVs are much easier to disassemble and are almost as good as the AAs. The AA's interior and headlamps are more refined, but then again, they cost sometimes 2-3 times what you can get a MM one for.

Do any of the pieces, say the interior and headlamps of the AutoArt work with the MM? If anything, I have two AAs, LAPD (which is disassembled) and the Ford Promo, guess I could always just mesh the two into the one car I want PERFECT then use a MM for the subsequent K-9 car.

Also, is there a 1/18 Impala out?

You can make MM cars look like AA's Real easy. Including the head lamps. I got a little trick i do.
