I realize I posted this type of thread in August, but my daddy emailed me today & wants me to get info on a "HIGH QUALITY" vest & let him know "ASAP".

I am posting here (again) in case not everyone checks this section, but, like me, clicks on "View New Posts" :)

From the information on my previous thread, I gather to nix Second Chance and NO Zylon.

Which leaves me to Safariland Zero G or ABA Extreme or Point Blank (the latter two being "sister" companies)....

Any further info, recommendations, personal experiences??

Thank you VERY much for your help..........

I have a Second Chance Monarch Summit that was issued. I hate it compared to by Safariland Zero G I bought on my own!!!!

I was 'issued' an ABA Extreme vest. I still prefer Point Blank ones.

We had a problem (NYPD) with them. Vests were tested they sold to us randomly and rounds penetrated them. They ended up having their contract terminated by us in 2002 as a result and Secodn Chance was signed on.

Well considering Second Chance is probably going to go bankrupt, you'll have to move manufacturers again?

For what its worth.......I personally have a vest made by 'Reliance'.....assuming that it works, it fits really well & came with an extra cover.
