Anyone have any input as to what brand of spray I ought to look at buying. I think the stream makes the most sense for patrol functions so that is the format I am looking for. I am planning to buy the 2% Fox Labs stream right now. From what I have read it is supposed to burn the most. I do hear conflicting reports about detox time. Some thought that the lower percentage made it detox faster but others thought that the 5.3 Million SHUs made it take longer to detox. Any insight?

I thoroughly encourage foam as opposed to a spray. It is much less prone to being blown around by the wind , is non-vaporizing so you can transport someone after spraying them and the foam just sticks better and than "melts' and runs where gravity allows causing the effects to spread.

Are you a civillian or are you using this for police purposes?

Fox labs carries great spray! And its legal in michigan for a citizen to carry.

I am auxiliary waiting council approval to go be sworn. It will be used in police capacity. Other than the delivery method, what effect does a higher or lower concentration of OC have (2% versus 10%)?

The only problem I see with foam is that the bad guy can scrape it off his face and throw it back at you.

I have gathered that from outside reading, but does the percentage of OC content make any functional difference, as in detox time for example?

Be cautious of those containing alcohol if your dept uses Tasers. Never seen or heard of it firsthand, but supposedly it's possible to start someone on fire if sprayed then tased. I'll bring the marshmallows, chocolate, and graham crackers.

As far as I recall, it even originally it was done more scientifically than that, but it is now done in a lab chemically.
