I need to buy some high top combat boots for the academy in September. I am not sure what can be considered a "good fit". I know with running shoes you want to buy 1 - 1.5 size up. Is this the same with boots? Also, I am having trouble finding boots the same size as my running shoes, 15 4EE, any suggestions there would also be nice :D. I plan to get Danner since they seem to be the people's choice.

To keep warm, socks. To keep cool, stop running. :D

Go Magnum. They have moisture wicking liners.
From what I understand other shoes have that too, like Danner with its gore-tex. Is Magnum made for people with bigger feet or something?
(there is a joke in there somewhere I just know it...)

Danner Acadias with insulation. Leather. Waterproof. Can be resoled. Expensive but I love them!

Pervert :p
Well it seems that Magnums are made in larger sizes than Danner hehe. I could buy a pair of Danner and have them stretched out, but if the stretched out size doesn't fit me then I am out the cash of the boot and shipping to send them back for resizing :(. CS Rep at Danner even said that it would probably be better for me to order somewhere else and says she will do some looking around for me. Apparantly its a big enough problem where customers complain about not big enough boots so they send them elsewhere...but not big enough for them to make the boots bigger. Ahh well still very nice of them to not leave my out to dry and offer the help.
Any suggestions on what type of Magnum boot to look at?
