My polygrapher told me my results were fine (whatever that meant) and didn't give me a post-test interview, and said my results would be released by this past Wednesday. Does the PD call with your results, or can you call and ask them? Also, what is the average time between the release of poly results and start of the background investigation? I was hoping I would get a call or some kind of sign that I am still in the running, but I've heard nothing yet. Is it ok for me to call HR to ask for my results?

THey should normally tell you within a couple weeks, depending on the size of the department. The longer it takes, the more likely the news is to be bad.

I wouldn't call and ask them about it, they will let you know, either by letter that you failed (that's usually how they do it) or by telephone thay you passed.

See in CT they say no news is good news.

I agree with Terminator, don't call them. I got a letter a month after a polygraph saying I passed...some people have waited almost 2 months.

Just hang on, something will come.
