Bush Falls Off Bike in Scotland
GLENEAGLES, Scotland - President Bush collided with a local police officer and fell during a bike ride on the grounds of the Gleneagles golf resort while attending a meeting of world leaders Wednesday.

Bush suffered "mild to moderate" scrapes on his hands and arms that required bandages by the White House physician, said White House spokesman Scott McClellan. The accident occurred on asphalt, McClellan said, but Bush was wearing a helmet at the time.
The police officer was taken to a local hospital as a precaution, McClellan said. Police said the officer suffered a "very minor" ankle injury.
It was raining lightly at the time.
The officer was on a security detail. He is a member of the police department of Strathclyde, a nearby town, McClellan said.
The president was concerned about the officer's condition, and talked with him for some time after the collision, McClellan said. The president also asked White House physician Richard Tubb to monitor the officer's condition at the hospital.
The presidential bike suffered some damage, McClellan said, so Bush rode back to the hotel in a Secret Service vehicle.
The fall did not affect the president's schedule. Dressed in a tuxedo, he attended a dinner hosted by Queen Elizabeth at the annual Group of Eight economic summit. He showed no signs of distress.

It seems like he can't go to the bathroom without the media publicizing it

Uh... you must not be speaking from experience. They take a bit to master. A good part of the (now defunct) Chicago Narcotics High Risk Entry Team and I played with a couple of them while attending unrelated training. A couple of the guys damn near killed themselves, wrecking into walls and such. They are not that hard once you get the hang of it, but they are not as easy as they are made out to be. :)

In more recent breaking news, the President picked a booger out of his nose while walking in his presidential shoes.
"I was like, 'oh my God, did the President just pick his nose? He looked so bored. Doesn't he have anything better to do?'" reported Ima Dumbass of Virginia, visiting the Whitehouse on a totally unrelated Soccer Trip that has nothing to do with this story but seems to add meaningless drama to my ridiculous article.
Aftere picking his nose, he inspected the item he pulled out for a minute. Bystanders indicate that he appeared quite disinterested in it. "I couldn't believe that he wasn't interested in what he pulled out of his nose" reported Dumbass, "shouldn't he be more interested in what's in his body?"
Onlookers tolds DUMB news that the booger was green with a few flecks of white in it. Dumbass asked, "isn't that unusual? I don't know, I don't normally like to expose my children to mucous, but I would think that green would be a color to worry about."
Then, in an apalling twist to the story, it is reported that the President flicked the booger onto the sidewalk. Dumbass again, "It made a sickening splat when it struck the concrete. I was horrified. I can't believe that he has such an utter disregard for the mental health of my children, the state of his own body, and the sanitation of our sidewalks. I'll never be able to chew gum that I find on the sidewalk the same way agaiin."
The President declined to comment on the issue when DUMB News called, but a Whitehouse official, speaking on the condition of anonymity, did report that the President does not recall the booger incident.
Another interesting statement from Ima Dumbass, "I can't believe that he doesn't remember it. People don't just pick their nose and forget. I'll never forget it, and I'll be sure my kids won't either. I'll traumatize them, I mean it will traumatize them for life."
The Presidential walking shoes are reported to be fine. DUMB News will keep you posted as we learn more on the Presidential Booger. Reporters are being sent out to locate the booger now.

Altough I did not fall/wreck, I did feel like an idiot for the 1st few minutes, wobbeling back & forth, trying to keep my balance everytime I came to a stop. :) It does that for you, but it is hard not to try and help it. LOL
Yea, this made every bit of news yesterday, pretty rediculous. But maybe he should refrain from these one person modes of transportation, it is his second crash on a bike and of course there is that whole segway incident up here in the coastal maine area (they're a lot of fun to ride but a little bit tricky as switch has noted)
