Hey guys. I've been training lately in the F.I.G.H.T. System (Haganah) and I think it is one of the best defense systems in existence. It is geared towards military and civilian use more than law enforcement but it is certainly adaptable. If you get a chance check it out. Its a combination of Kapap, Lotar, Krav Maga, Brazilian Jui Jitsu and Muy Thai KickBoxing.

I have seen hagendaz (just a joke, ok?) It is another "style" and appears to be pretty good. It is MUCH better than nothing!

Its no different than any other mixed martial arts system. Its important to choose from a variety of styles. I have always liked Krav Maga for disarming a subject, japanese jujitsu and judo for standing throws, muai thai and kickboxing for strikes and blocks, BJJ and Sambo for the ground.

Law enforcement generally focuses on grappling techniques since the majority of subjects resisting are trying to brace, push or pull, or escape. As long as the moves end in handcuffing, are flexible enough to allow adherence to a force continuum, and are simple enough to be learned with minimal practice, then it sounds great.

Keep training, it could save your life one day :D

LOL @ hagendaz..yes I'd like to train in that 3 times a week but If I did my 1.5 mile run would go to 30 minutes...

Not being paid, I'm just throwing Haganah out as a training option. I use it and I find the tactics great for civilians and even military where breaking an ankle or even terminating can be used. Not so much for LEO's though. I'd definately cross train in it as it has some very good techniques.

To spetactical: When I get some extra cash I'm going to pick up your dvds. From the clips I've seen it looks great.
