I read a thread previously posted before that's somewhat similar to my situation but not exactly. So here's where I'm asking for everyone's help.

My problem is I was born on 1/19/79 and my fiance was born on 3/2/80 roughly about 13 1/2 months apart. So when I turned 18 she was still about a month away from turning 17. We're very responsible (no children) and have been dating for about 10 years now and have plans to be married in July 06.

I had a preliminary background interview with the last dept. I applied to and when I was asked about underage relations I was able to explain the situation and they understood and said nothing about it. What worries me is my application to another department. They don't have preliminary background interviews, they go straight to the multipage background questionnaire. In the app if asked about this issue I would have to say yes but won't have the opportunity to explain the situation. How should I handle this? Should I answer yes and add a supplemental page explaining my situation.

I worry about everything when it comes to LE and I'm hoping this doesn't affect my chances of becoming an LEO. Answering yes to that question makes me look like a pedophile but in actuality we met when I was a senior and she was a junior in high school...

Any help is appreciated :)

Both of us wanted to finish school first, but then she started law school this year so that killed that plan. Now were just hoping to get married before she has to study for the bar exam.

MAN! I totally thought this was gonna be a LOT more nasty than this! I feel jipped! Where's the sleeze? :)

I wouldn't worry about it man, I'm sure you'll be fine if you just explain your situation in the supplimental.
