:( today i was sitting at the traffic light. There is a truck to my left as well. When the light turned green, i let him go first,, and than i proceeded to go. As i was trying to move over behind this truck, i look over and there is another truck cutting me off, and jumping in front of me, i figured if i kept up my pace he would back off, and he pushed me right out. Later, he went to make his right turn at the next light, i moved around him and as i passed, he SPIT on my windshield......i didnt do anything to him whatsso ever.....i shook my head at him, I also had my 2 yr old in the car and hes lucky the windows were up. DO I HAVE A COMPLAINT? SHOULD I GO TO PD? I DONT care so much about cutting me off, i do, but the spitting on my car was foul. please help

He is just an *******. You could call the police but they won't come out for a report or much less do anything do him since there wasn't any damage to your car or you. If he had turned it into a road rage incident then that's different. This guys just sounds like he is a moron with a axe to grind with other motorists.

Well, i turned my car around to go after him........and when i turned down the street he had turned down, i found him bringing in his recycling can! I should have thrown my oj container at him, and i was going to go to his house and pour it on his windsheild, see how he likes that, but i didnt. SURELY i would have gotten into some hefty trouble......all because he is a PIG, spitting on a ladys car with her kids in it no less.

I understand your anger from him spitting on the windshield, BUT that would have been a really bad way of handling things on your end. Depending if you would have thrown it from your car or actually hit him with it, we'd have a several differnt types of crimes to talk about.

Try not to get involved in road rage. There are LOTS of idiot drivers out there. Sometimes its just easier to let someone over even though they probably shouldn't be let over.

I on viewed a road rage incident between two people. These idiots had blocked the whole street just so they could yell at each other. To make a long story short, as I look onto the driver's side floorboard I see a strap which looks like its a fanny pack. I pull on it and it's pretty damn heavy. After opening it up, it was a loaded .45 with one in the chamber. You should have seen the other guys face when I told him the guy he was arguing with had a loaded handgun.

Moral of the story is, you never know what kind of people you are dealing with or what they have. Let it go....ESPECIALLY with kids in the car..

Why in the world would you turn around and go after him with a two year old child in the car? The guy is an *** for spitting, but in my opinion, you might have been pissed, but you were a fool for turning around to go after him. What would you have done if something got out of control and you had a small child in the car? Not only could you have been in danger, but now you would be putting a child in harms way.

You are lucky he didn't shoot you when you turned around after him..And your right to indignation that

You know the more I thought about this I wanted to add something. It's apparent to me, you do not have the best judgment in the world. Why didn't you just let the guy over? Big deal. He get's in front of you. So? But the way I see it, you wanted to hold your ground. With kids in the car. Real smart. Would have been a nice accident wouldn't it if you two had crashed?

How about turning to follow the guy? How much intelligence does that show with kids in the car. It seems to me you have a problem with your anger and controlling it, both from the actions while you were driving and your posts.

someone's just going to listen to you whine then try to be nice when you turn your anger at them. just give it up. seriously, nothing can really be done. you're just going to get pissed off over some dumbass.

No one is acting as if they are above you.

If someone spit on my car, I would move on with my life. You sound crazy and should probably discuss this with your Doctor.

What exactly do you expect the state to do for you?

I can empathize with you on how you feel. Being spit on is one of the rudest things to do to a person and certainly would start a fistfight if it had happened elsewhere other than the road.

I would be angry as well but please just remember that person who spit on your car could very well be willing to shoot you even for a minimal confrontative stance, such as driving by and allowing them to see you. There are angry folks out there and more than one has a weapon.

If you feel that strongly that something should be done, contact your local PD with the license plate information, and stay and make a report for a private peace disturbance. If its local, the officer could make contact with the guy and issue a summons.

I would be pissed about my car being spit on, but if he spit specifically on you or another person, in TN, it could fall under the simple assault statute.

Not much to do on this case. Sorry if you feel people are being mean, but most officers in this forum just give you their plain opinion without any icing on it. If you know where he lives, go back tonight and spit on his windshield. ;)

i agree. it's hard for a bunch of adults to argue with an angry child. now quit sticking out your bottom lip and move on with your life. you just lost 3 days over someone spitting on your car. i have two words for you, "boo hoo."

A few months ago I was driving my BRIGHT RED Wrangler down a 4 lane street. I saw someone in a Cavalier weaving through traffic behind me. He began to pass me on the left, slowed slightly, then changed into my lane. Of course, I was directly next to him. In a bright red jeep with a loud exhaust.

Luckily there was a wide shoulder. I moved over onto the shoulder, let him by, and continued down the road. Since it was convenient, I pulled next to him at the next light. Rolled the window down and said "Hey man, you just ran me out of my lane onto the shoulder."

"No I didn't!"

"Yes, actually you did. Perhaps you should check your mirrors more carefully."

"Feck you! *****! blah blah blah blah"

I just shrugged, laughed at the irony of someone claiming you are LYING to them about them not noticing you on the road since they obviously wouldn't know...or else they wouldn't have done it.....:)

No need to get indignant about it. Just another example of morons driving weapons that weigh several ton.

No problem capitalizing the anger words but just can't seem to do the same the rest of the English. Just my $0.2.

I understand you're being upset, I know I would too, but why not just drop it now ? its pretty obvious to me that you're not going to get much sympothy from anyone on here, when you're doing a kerry & flip flopping on what you said in earlier posts, first you said you DID turn around, then you said you didn't. I'm confused on that part, but it's over, get over it & get on with your life.

One last word of advise, maybe next time, let the person trying to getr into your lane do it, instead of figuring they'll see you & back off. Thats an accident waiting to happen.

Dress all in black, go to his house where that vehicle is parked real early in the morning lets say around 2 30am, slash his car tires, spray paint some nasty messages on the vehicle and put some exam gloves on and smear dog feces all over his windows, and if you can make sure you put some of the dog feces under the door handle too, thatll teach him. I would not do that myself, but there are more braver people than me

I don't suspect that Professor Hertig suggested that you engage in some sort of criminal behaviour as retribution ? What if they were caught by a member of the "invisible empire ?"
