Hurricane Charley came thru our area. The results as many of you know were devastating. I got some pics of the damage that was done by hurricane Charley for all of you to watch, and see what other people/communities are going thru. The eye of the hurricane hit about 8-20 miles south from where I live, so our town was destroyed much, but once you head south about 8 miles, and enter Port Charlotte, the results are devastating. Most of the buildings are damaged, and it feels like that the town was heavily bombed. But it wasnt a bomb, it was a hurricane, Charley.
Have you ever heard an expression "missed by the skin of a tooth"? Well that what happen to our town, have the hurricane charley turned 15 minutes later onto the shore, our town would've been wiped out as well. And like people always say, oh its never gonna happen to us, well that what I thought, but it did. It did happen. Changed my view on mother nature, and hurricanes all together. Its scary... the damages... the rebuilding... getting communities back together...

I saw the pics earlier and watched the videos, that was a powerful storm. I hope you all are braced for Hurricane Frances heading for FL, thats another huge one too.

I was gonna say the same thing ... batten down the hatches and pull through what looks to be a hellacious storm.
