If you have kids,
What is the biggest gripe about mommy or Daddy being an Officer?
MY daughter is 13 1/2 don't forget the 1/2. lol
Her biggest gripe is that all the boys are to scared to call her.
She tells us she will never get married because all the boy's will be to scared to even call her.
When there is a school dance and she dances with a boy they tell her " don't tell your dad.
I think it's kinda funny.

I'm not sure as to the whole older kids thing will go. We have two girls soon to be 7 and soon to be 2. I know a lot of the teen girls who's Dad's are officers here though and they hate it. My hubby's friends all have a plan for when our oldest does start to date. It's going to be scary. I almost feel sorry for her. Hee hee hee. I keep trying to tell the hubby that he has NO IDEA as to what he is in store for with two beautiful daughters. God help us when the belly button piercing or whatever trend is going when my daughters are old enough to get into the trend. He's going to hit the roof!!!!

As far as the biggest gripe we have had for now is that when my oldest had just turned 3 her Daddy was hurt badly on a domestic abuse call. His recovery was a long time (6 months before he went back to desk and then another 2 before he was back on the road). She had nightmares (sometimes up to three a night) for almost 5 months after he was hurt. She would wake up screaming "The bad guys are coming! They are going to get Daddy again." Once I would get her calmed down then she would just cry and cry and say that Daddy's job was too scary and what if the bad guys came to get me and her too. It was awful.
