You won't find a new Ultra Stinger for that price they retail for more then that. A Stinger, Stinger XT or Poly Stinger will work just fine and is made by the same company Streamlight.

Strion would be nice for a back up light but it doesn't compare to the US.
One thing I don't like about my US is that the joint between the main barrel/shaft and the switch housing is PRESS FIT (i.e. it's not threaded). I've got a bit of mileage on mine and now it tends to come apart in that area. AFAIK, the last time I called Streamlight, they haven't changed their design. Also, sometimes after an impact to the reflector housing, my bulb pops out. I think bending the prongs slightly might help but I've been too lazy to mess with it - at least it hasn't powdered the reflector like so many of the SL20's....

Check out the stinger xthp, brighter than the 4 D cell maglight, but 1/6 the weight and size.
