Hi everyone, I recently got out of the Marine Corps and have my sights set on a career in law enforcement. One thing I'd like to know is how long does the application process take in the NYPD, and if 4 years of active duty military service would expedite the process. Thank you for your time.

TONS of threads on here that already answer that question, HEPD85. Try searching through some of the forums on here for NYPD. From what I've read, it's about 2 years or more.
Also, you might want to go to New Member Introductions (http://www.realpolice.net/forums/new-member-introductions-15/) and post a thread telling us a little about yourself. It's considered bad form to waltz into our house and just hammer us with questions and not even introduce yourself.
duly noted, thanks for the heads up.
