so, lets just say I know someone who has a felony warrant. The warrant was taken out in a county an hour and a half away from the county he/she lives. The day after warrant was issued police came to his/her home to serve it. He/she was not there at the time, and has not been back home, is staying in another county just to be safe until he/she can find out more information, and get prepared for bail and make sure everything is in order just in case they cant post bail. How would they go about finding out the information on the warrant? Is a bail amount already made when they let the other county know of warrant or can county you are arrested in come up with the price? Its not a violent crime and person that went to police and had the warrant issued said they will try to drop the charges. I know its up to state to do so and would have to be done in court, but is there any way something could be done to make bail lower or unsecurred so he/she could just sign themselves out? Also, how hard does a county push serving a warrant for an out of county warrant?

People with warrants don't get to dictate their bond and usually judges set the bond after the person is picked up. The best thing for them to do is turn themselves in.
Also, at least here, you can have added financial charges tacked on when they have to keep looking for you. You will owe those even if the case is tossed.

You are over thinking this one, lets just say the someone you know that has a felony warrant ought to just turn themselves in and get on with life.

Why don't YOU just turn yourself in. I imagine you drive/ride in a vehicle to an from work or the grocery store etc. Would you rather be arrested while driving down the road and have your vehicle impounded, then you will be held in the county you are "hiding" in until the county with the warrant extradites you!
It sounds to me YOU know what the charge is since you "think" the "conplainant" plans to "drop" the charges. Also if you are costing LE time and resources looking for you and they know you are "avoiding arrest" it may not be up to the "complainant" to drop the charges, the state can always pursue the charges when they see fit!
IMHO, only cowards "hide" or "runaway" from their problems (in your case the Police/Warrant).
