Hello. My name is Chris. I'm a resident of upstate NY.
I came on here to ask some very difficult questions. I figured the best people to answer these questions would be the honorable men and women who protect our country.
I am going to post my question and link it to this thread because I just want to make it clear before I post anything that might upset anyone.
I have nothing_ -nothing- but respect for the officers of the law. You go out of your way, and risk your lives to protect everyone and you are all wonderful people. My dad was a corrections officer at Rikers. I have heard some horror stories of some of the things you guys go through, and some of the people you put away.
If it wasn't for the officers in my area I may never have straightened up and got my life back in order.
I -know- for a fact that you are all good people and that's why I want to get this information from you guys/girls directly.
(I would credit the officers who really helped me directly but I don't want to put my location on the internet, but of course if a proven police officer wants my info I will be happy to provide all my information to you. Address, phone number, Social security number. I trust you guys.)
Like I said; I want you all to know how much I respect and admire you. If you saw this thread from the link provided in the question, I am sorry if I upset you. I only posted the question because it has been something that has been bothering me for a very long time and I want to get the information directly from you guys because I don't think the information I have is painted in a very fair light.
