Hello, Rob from PA here. Today I had my oral interview with the Upper Darby Police Department. I am very nervous, as the panel only asked me about 5 questions, and the interview only took about less than 20 minutes..is this normal? I seemed to answer properly and the panel appeared to please with my answers, they didn't even give me challenges to my answers, which I also thought was odd. Any input would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

It's normal out here in western PA. Many times they only have so much time allotted for orals and they want to get you in and out. Sometimes how the board handles it also depends on your experience or lack thereof. Alot of times they are looking more for how you answer and how you present yourself than what you say, though that is definitely considered as well.

I know of several departments that don't ask follow up questions on first interviews so that the first screening of all applicants are the same...
If you get a second interview, expect more follow ups!
