The good:
- Served honorably in the Army
- Bachelors in Business Management
- Good credit
- No traffic tickets
- Never been arrested
- No drug use whats so ever besides Marijuana.
- Haven't smoked it in my Adult life.

The bad:
- Smoked Marijuana approx. 10-15 times as a teen. (all before I turned 18)
- Was detained and had to be picked up by parents at age 16 after friend was arrested for Marijuana possession. Yes I smoked too that day he just happened to be the one with it on him and was 18. That's how the cards fell.
- Was briefly detained at a high school football game my Senior year my friends had been drinking I was the DD that day thankfully. Yes I had beer in my truck, but I refused a search and was let go after questioning.
- Tobacco ticket at 18.

Not as bad as some, not as good as some... How old are you now?

No "issues" between 18 and 28 is good! Hopefully, you will stack up well against others in your pool of candidates - start applying!

Good as you said.

The best part of you is the time span of 10 years with no stupid stuff. Admit to what you did and you should be fine.

I was also considering joining the National Guard as an Officer because to be honest I miss it, but I'm trying to settle down so I don't wan't to go back active. Are Departments pretty good about working with you if your in the guard? Would it be a plus and help me get hired especially being an Officer?

Departments can't penalize you but it is a bit annoying to keep losing people. We have a guy who has been gone almost 3 of the 5 years we have had him. We have had to retrain him every time he comes back.
