WOW it is possible to break a bulb in a maglite

Responded with the city to a business alarm about 1 am.
Since it had been raining, I managed to slip and take a tumble on the concrete.
I actually broke the bulb in my old maglite.
First bulb in over 8 years. Thankfully there was a spare
bulb in the bottom of the maglite.
It was back up and running in two minutes.
On a clear night, I can see the other deputies emergency lights at least 10 miles away.
But it isnt flat here LOL

DOH!!!! Did you get crap from the city guys for falling?

I am glad I chose a maglite then when trying to decide what flashlight to get for work. I had a surfire but that went to crap, so I didn't want to get that one again, so I got a maglite.

I got the Pelican 7060 LED. LAPD marketed with Pelican to make it so LAPD officers would stop using their maglite as an impact weapon.

First freakin night after replacing my maglite with the Pelican, I had to use it as an impact weapon. In the 5 years prior, I had never had to use my maglite as one.

They've got us surrounded? Good. Now we can fire in any direction, those bastards wont get away this time

I have had good luck with maglites over the years.
When I got here, the FORMER deputy had convinced
the boss to get a new Streamlight to replace the OLD maglite.
It was laying w charger in the truck of my crown vic.
When I got a new SUV the next year, I had both flashlights
wired in. The streamlight just didnt work out.
The poor old maglite looks like it has been thru ww3.
And I have dropped it several times over the years.
But this was the first time I had to replace a bulb.
So going on 9 years and still going strong. Just looks like hell.
On a clear night, I can see the other deputies emergency lights at least 10 miles away.

    Ah, yes, television tv shows.
If I remember right, Jericho had the mountains and all the green trees.
    YEAH RIGHTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTT
(at least in my neck of the woods-so to speak)

Then there was something like "the day after". We are still chuckling about that
one. It was supposedly after the BOMB is dropped. Just to cover the basics.
Wichita/McConell Air Force base is a major target.
Topeka and Salina still have very long military grade airstrips.
Plus Ft Riley is just a bit west of Topeka.
Then we got those little air bases in Omaha, Oklahoma City and
the Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs. Throw in some under
ground silos and you really believe there will be life in Kansas after a nuke?
    Dont hold your breath.

But today, things are good, we are practicing being Tornado Alley and we
are not done yet with bad weather. There is more coming from Oklahoma.

    Whoppee
